While Pat is an avid golfer, his greatest joy is being a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. The children in his life have enjoyed his imaginative stories. Now Pat’s stories can enrich the lives your children.

 Throughout his career his wife and family were always a priority. He and his wife were involved in their children’s activities, dreams, and character development.  They are similarly involved in the lives of their grandchildren.

Dr. Hunt (Pat) spent most of his adult life seeking to positively impact humanity and the natural resources of the globe. He did this through his outstanding research and technology transfer accomplishments. 

For 37 years, he was the Director and Research Leader of a  highly productive Federal Research Center. He worked with and influenced a global network of scientists, businesses, policy makers.  

He is most widely known for his research on livestock waste management, red colored mulch, and water quality. Many of the scientists he hired, mentored, and led have become distinguished and highly respected scientists.

In Pat's newest book, he exhorts  children to cherish life in both the good times and bad times. He uses animals to tell this story so young children can grasp the value of cherishing life. “How the Puppy Learned to Cherish Life,” it’s story and warm pictures, are the perfect addition to any home, church, or school.
